Karr Ingham becomes president of the Texas Power Producers Alliance

An Amarillo man has been named the new president of the Texas Power Producers Alliance, according to an Aug. 12 press release from the organization.

Karr Ingham, a former board president of Amarillo Habitat for Humanity who continues to serve on the board, became president of the alliance on July 1. Ingham became interim president in 2023 after serving as executive vice president for five years.

“Karr’s extensive experience and unwavering commitment to our mission make him the ideal choice to lead the Alliance forward as President,” said Jason Herrick, Chairman of the Alliance’s Board of Directors. “He has worked with the Alliance in various capacities since 2003 and has served admirably as interim president for the past nine months, demonstrating exceptional leadership and dedication.”

Ingham will continue to serve as the alliance’s petroleum economist, releasing the Texas Petro Index and Texas Permian Basin Petroleum Index monthly. He is also a board member of the US Energy Economics Association, has served on Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar’s economic roundtable, co-chairs the Independent Petroleum Association of America’s Supply and Demand Committee, and is a member of Domestic Energy Producers Alliance. directors.
