2024 Fantasy Football wide receiver rankings: Sleepers, busts

Our preseason fantasy rankings continue to evolve as we dive into wide receivers.

You can check back here for our rookie and quarterback rankings, as well as our annual ban list.

Our WR list will look a little different. There are so many talented players at the position that it’s not worth ranking them all. Instead, we break down some of the more common decisions you’ll have to make during the draft.

Feel free to use this as a benchmark in both standard and PPR leagues.

elites

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

1. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins

2. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions

4. Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals

5. AJ Brown, Philadelphia Eagles

Don’t worry about Lamb’s hold. He’ll be on the field when it’s time to play meaningful football. Jerry Jones cares about winning a negotiation, but he cares even more about winning football games. Lamb remains not only an elite talent, but also one of the most reliable at his position, as he posted a career-best 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023.

Safe and stable

Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

6. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams

7. Davante Adams, Las Vegas Raiders

8. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings

9. Garrett Wilson, New York Jets

10. Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals

Jefferson is an elite talent in a less than stellar situation. His quarterback went from Kirk Cousins to Sam Darnold. His counterpart, Jordan Addison, just suffered an ankle injury, and TJ Hockenson could miss the first two months of the season. In theory, it shouldn’t be any easier for defenses to scheme for Jefferson, but we know he’ll still find a way to burn him.

Eruptive potential

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

11. Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco 49ers

12. Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders

13. Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers

14. Nico Collins, Houston Texans

15. Malik Nabers, New York Giants

Washington rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels can throw a route as well as any passer in his class. Now he’ll get to pair up with McLaurin, a true big-play threat, and see if they can’t increase the wideout’s 14-yard-per-catch average from last season.

Draft and Stash

Bob Self/Florida Times-Union

16. Amari Cooper, Cleveland Browns

17. Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens

18. Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars

19. Tank Dell, Houston Texans

20. Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears

Remember what I just said about Jayden Daniels throwing the deep ball? Thomas Jr. was catching a lot of them from Daniels at LSU. Now he’s paired up with Trevor Lawrence – another defender who likes to show a lot downfield. It’s worth finding out if Thomas can translate his skill set to the NFL right away.
