Premier League goal leaders 2024-25: Who will win the Golden Boot?

It’s Erling Haaland against everyone else at the start of what is sure to be another fireworks campaign for the Premier League’s Golden Boot award.

Manchester City megastar Haaland has won the last two honors as the Premier League’s top scorer in a season, netting 63 goals in his first two years in the English top flight.

Trying to track him down will be the usual suspects — Mohamed Salah, Bukayo Saka, Heung-min Son — as well as new faces and even a few teammates, as Phil Foden showed us for much of last season.

Below you’ll find the candidates for the 2024-25 Premier League Golden Boot, as well as some recent history and some odds on who is thought to be among the contenders for this season’s individual honour.

Who won the Premier League Golden Boot last season?

Erling Haaland shrugged off a month on the shelf with injury and a series of challenges to win his second consecutive Golden Boot.

Haaland scored 27 goals last seasonnine less than his record-breaking 2022-2023 campaign. He will be the fastest player to 100 career PL goals if he achieves the feat this season.

Now 24, Haaland will also be the favorite to win a third time, although there is a group of hungry followers lining up to challenge him for the hardware.

Who is in the running for the 2024-25 Premier League Golden Boot?

Who isn’t? Cole Palmer’s first full-time season in the Premier League saw the Chelsea man level with Haaland at the end of the season.

Ollie Watkins has looked the part for some time now, while Mohamed Salah is already on board this season and Alexander Isak will expect nothing less than another 20-goal season.

Dominic Solanke was a near 20-goal man last season with Bournemouth and now joins Ange Postecoglou’s attack which created Spurs’ chances.

Rasmus Hojlund, Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Nicolas Jackson, Phil Foden….it’s a long list of hopefuls.

Premier League Golden Ice Odds
