Prince George Princess Charlotte and Louis tipped for travel | Royal | News

Prince William may soon want to introduce his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to Africa, the head of a charity the Prince of Wales has supported for years has suggested.

Tusk Trust CEO Charlie Mayhew told PEOPLE: “I think it won’t be long before, you know, he’ll want to introduce them (Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis) to Africa.”

Prince William may have the chance to do so in November when he travels to Cape Town, South Africa, to host the fourth Earthshot Prize.

Africa has held a special place in Prince William’s heart for years and was also one of Princess Diana’s favorite places.

The continent is so important to the Prince of Wales that he chose to propose to Princess Kate there in 2010.

The Tusk Trust was one of the first organizations that Prince William chose to support, becoming its patron almost 20 years ago. The charity helps protect the continent’s wildlife, including lion, rhinoceros and elephant species.

At The Footprint of Life Gala, organized in London, funds were collected to support the cause.

The Royal Family has a long history of visiting the continent, with a total of more than 30 trips to African countries since 1947.

The late Princess of Wales Diana’s work in Africa was recognized by the late South African President Nelson Mandela.

After their mother’s death in 1997, Prince William and Prince Harry traveled with King Charles III to the Continent.

In 2010, the Prince of Wales returned again, this time alone with Prince Harry, for their first joint overseas engagement in Botswana.
