Fans React to Details in Jane Duggar’s Wedding Photos

One notable member of the Duggar family is missing from the wedding photos.

18 of the Duggar children, along with their spouses and children can be seen in a family photo taken at Jane Duggar’s wedding on Thursday, August 15.

Jana, 34, married Stephen Wissmann, 31, in her home state of Arkansas at The Grand at Willow Springs with 500 guests in attendance.

Anna — who married Josh Duggar in September 2008 — and her seven children were noticeably absent from the snap, prompting fans to speculate whether Anna is being ostracized by the family.

The US Sun reported that fans believed Anna was in attendance at the wedding because of an Instagram story posted by the groom’s sister, Alaythia Wissmann, where people thought they saw Anna sitting at a table at the reception.

The 36-year-old husband, Josh, is currently serving a 12-year, seven-month prison sentence for child pornography, to which he pleaded not guilty in December 2021. Just a week before Josh was arrested, the two announced that they are expecting. their seventh child, Madison.

Josh also has allegations against him of molesting his sisters Jill, Jessa, Joy-anna and Jinger. Despite the crimes and accusations, Anna remained married to the 36-year-old man.

The 19 children and counting Alum is serving his sentence in Seagoville, Texas, with an earliest release date of October 2, 2032. Upon release, Josh will serve 20 years of supervised release and will not be able to have any unsupervised contact with minors, including his minor children.

Scandal arose for Josh in 2015 after a multitude of girls claimed they were molested by him. Josh took to Facebook in May 2015, writing: “12 years ago as a young teenager, I acted without apology, which I am extremely sorry for and deeply regret.”

“I hurt others, including my family and close friends,” Josh added.

Josh made many attempts to appeal the child pornography charges and was unsuccessful.

First in January 2022, Josh’s lawyer filed a motion for acquittal, which was denied. Then, in June 2022, Josh’s appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit was denied. In June 2024, the US Supreme Court also rejected Josh’s attorney Justin Gelfand’s appeal.
