Gilbert announces retirement, open house planned for August 28

Aug. 22 — Cumberland County Property Appraiser Sandy Gilbert has decided to stop looking for employment and has announced her retirement after 34 years of service with the office.

Gilbert said, “It has been an honor to serve the people of Cumberland County. I have met many wonderful people over the years and made many friends during my tenure. There are great people in the office who I enjoyed working with.”

Gilbert said she plans to get involved in volunteer work to help others. A retirement celebration for Gilbert will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Cumberland County Property Assessor’s Office at 2 S. Main St., Ste. 101.

Refreshments will be served and all are welcome to visit.
