‘Turned into WWII’: Belal and fans react to resurfaced video of Khabib and Dana White arguing for UFC belt after Conor McGregor fight

UFC 229 was one of the most chaotic events the organization has ever put on, especially since the build-up to the fight was just as toxic. So much so that today’s champions like Belal Muhammad are still reacting to resurfaced videos from the night.

The issue escalated to the point where Nurmagomedov jumped the cage in ecstasy after defeating McGregor, but was denied a title shot inside the Octagon because Dana White cared about his safety.

But Khabib being who he is, he just said he was ready, he was ready to take on anyone and everyone in the arena that came at him. Now that’s bad**!

Even now, as ESPN shared footage of the moment, fans and fighters alike marveled at how cold-hearted the Dagestanis were that day.

“One thing about Khabib, this was his biggest moment and he made the most of it.”

A fan who was present at the event spoke of the chaos that unfolded as soon as Conor McGregor intercepted,

“I was there. It was already chaos as soon as Conor hit. Fans were fighting each other in the halls and toilets”

This fan talked about how Nurmagomedov was so full of adrenaline that he would be ready to face even the public,

“Khabib is ready to quit with anyone in the audience”

Another fan believes that “The Eagle” would have beaten everyone in that stadium because of the mindset he was in at the moment,

“Khabib would have beaten the whole stadium that night, man he was at war.”

One fan talked about the palpable tension in the stadium and what would have happened if Dana White had put on the champion’s belt,

“The whole stadium would have turned into World War II if Dana had put that belt on Khabib”

However, another fan believes that ‘The Eagle’ could have tackled every person in the stadium and still walked out,

“Khabib will literally go and destroy every single person in the audience and walk out of the arena”

The rivalry continues to this day, with McGregor trying to anger Khabib and other Dagestani fighters with often insensitive and intolerant remarks about their country, family and religion, as he did during the UFC 229 press tour.

So when the UFC released a non-commentary video from the day of the fight, fans could hear exactly how Khabib wanted to “bite his heart“.

Khabib Nurmagomedov entered the UFC 229 main event knowing he was going to destroy Conor McGregor. He even told UFC President Dana White as much.

In fact, once he had McGregor on the ground, he made sure the Irishman understood how deep he was underwater. And when he had McGregor tap out in rather timid fashion, the fighter from Dagestan took his time to stop.

“What happened, let’s talk now, let’s talk…damn, I fucked you up. I fucked you, you bastard.”

In the extended audio released by the UFC, you can hear “The Eagle” spit on the Irishman after he taps, before hurling insults at him.
