Here’s the full Packers practice squad entering Week 1 of 2024

The Green Bay Packers have completed their 17-man practice squad ahead of Week 1 of the 2024 season.

The practice squad consists of nine offensive players, seven defensive players and one specialist. While a typical practice squad is 16 players, the Packers received an additional spot thanks to the International Player Pathway program.

Here is the full training squad:

QB Sean Clifford: The 2023 fifth-round pick failed to win the No. 2 spot this summer, but could be elevated as Jordan Love’s backup if Malik Willis isn’t ready in Week 1.

RB Ellis Merriweather: He ran for 99 yards during the preseason. Tough runner who has produced despite average run blocking this summer.

RB La’Mical Perine: The 2020 fourth-round pick has three-down and special teams experience. Possible early season upside as MarShawn Lloyd recovers from hamstring injury.

FB Andrew Beck: Five-year NFL veteran who could fit into an H-back role for Matt LaFleur. He was a visitor prior to the Packers’ 2019 draft.

WR Julian Hicks: The undrafted rookie has plus athleticism that deserves to be developed, especially after making some noise plays during the preseason.

WR Jalen Wayne: The South Alabama standout and relative of Reggie Wayne spent time with the Bills and Browns as a rookie last year.

TE Messiah Swinson: The Packers selected Swinson, a big, inline blocker, over Joel Wilson, who showed more receiving talent. He went undrafted out of the state of Arizona this year.

OL Lecitus Smith: The Cardinals’ 2022 sixth-round pick. He can play guard or center, providing veteran versatility for the offensive line. He played 123 snaps for the Packers during the preseason.

OL Donovan Jennings: Undrafted rookie out of USF with experience at tackle but athleticism and potential to develop into a valuable guard prospect. The Packers spent good money to get him to Green Bay. Injuries have diminished his chances of making a roster push.

BY Deslin Alexandre: I spent time with the Jets and Bears as a rookie last year before joining the Packers. He was a standout during OTAs, but was injured during camp.

MR James Ester: Undrafted free agent from NIU. He deflected a pass that turned into an interception in the preseason.

LB Chris Russell Jr.: Texas A&M undrafted free agent and former teammate of Edgerrin Cooper. He was graded out a lot in the last two preseason games.

CB Robert Rochell: The veteran cornerback played snaps on defense and special teams for the Packers last season. He had a hip injury late in camp. Could be an early pick-up and a 53-man roster option should a corner get hurt during the season.

CB Kamal Hadden: Chiefs sixth round pick this year. The 23-year-old was on track for a breakout season at Tennessee in 2022 before suffering a shoulder injury.

CB Kalen King: Packers seventh round pick this year. Ability to create flash game throughout the summer. He needs time to develop in the slot, but the potential is there.

Omar Brown: We visited the Packers pre-draft. I spent training camp with the Denver Broncos.

K Alex Hale (IPP): Undrafted rookie from the state of Oklahoma. Originally from Australia. He will have a chance to develop as a prospect in Green Bay and a backup option behind Brayden Narveson.

The Packers signed running back Nate McCrary to the practice squad following the final cuts, but then placed him on injured reserve on Friday.
