Police arrest man after crash in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Police have arrested a man after a crash that damaged a utility pole in Springfield.

Officers responded to the crash around 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of East Kearney Street. Investigators say the driver hit a utility pole. The lines fell, starting an electrical fire.

The police say that the man assaulted the police officers who intervened on the scene. Emergency crews transported him to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
