Jeremy Allen White details the intense work he goes into to achieve Bruce Springsteen's spoken and sung vocals

Jeremy Allen White has gained increased popularity in recent years for driving Bearhis CASTand for good reasons. But now, the actor is about to star in his most famous role yet — a movie in which he’ll play Bruce Springsteen. Since White was cast in the role of the rock star earlier this year, he has begun the preparation process. Now he’s shed some light on what that entails, and it looks like it does much of themes to capture Springsteen’s speaking and singing voices.

The actor is no stranger to roles associated with pressure, given the intensity associated with Chef Carmy from Bear or professional wrestler Kerry Von Erich from last year Iron Claw. It’s safe to say that Jeremy Allen White is pulling out all the stops to do justice to the “Born In The USA” singer from biopic, Free me from nowheregiven his recent comments about the role. Here’s what he had to say about the research he did while preparing for the role:

I’m very lucky that there is now a team of people to help young actors play rock stars. (Laughs.) I have a very talented group of people helping me train vocally, musically, to prepare for this. I’m also really lucky (that) Bruce is really supportive of the film, so I had access to him, and he’s just the coolest guy. Also, there are so many pictures. It’s really cool to go down a YouTube rabbit hole and find him at all these different times in his life and be able to hear his speaking voice as well as his singing voice. That was kind of the deal, just listening to it a lot and watching it a lot. It was a lot of fun getting ready.

So while I’m talking to GQJeremy Allen White has revealed that he has a whole team of people who will help transform him into the American rocker who made his mark in the early 1970s. The actor took to YouTube to film classic footage of Bruce Springsteen. This includes the Grammy winner’s performances and interviews over the years. It’s great to hear that White is going all-in to get the artist’s speaking voice and singing voice Oh, and it has the access and support of the man himself!

Instead of covering Bruce Springsteen’s entire life, Scott Cooper’s Free me from nowhere covers the time when the musician was making his sixth studio album, Nebraskawhich hit the shelves in 1982. Although the album is considered one of his best, it was also made during a particularly difficult time for Springsteen, both professionally and personally.

Nebraska appeared between two of the artist’s other most influential albums, The river and Born in the USA What made the middle album stand out from the rest was the stripped down, downbeat nature of the songs. “The Boss” himself called the album a “happy accident”.

As for his upcoming biopic, it is being written and directed by Scott Cooper, who previously directed crazy heart, Black Table and Pale Blue Eye. Based on the book by Warren Zanes Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska and will definitely use some of the singer’s own memories. In addition to Jeremy Allen White, successionHis Jeremy Strong might join cast as Springsteen’s longtime manager Jon Landau.

It’s exciting to hear that Jeremy Allen White is set to play Bruce Springsteen, in between Bear Season 4 and breaking the internet with Calvin Klein adOf course! White certainly has the acting chops for the role, but the fact that he seems to be preparing so much is still heartening.
